Scotch Lab
The Scotch Lab at Arizona State University focuses on the genomic epidemiology, bioinformatics, and surveillance of RNA viruses. We have a particular interest in influenza A viruses (human and avian). We collect samples from clinical populations, wildlife, and the environment and perform molecular and bioinformatics methods to generate new virus sequences. We use computational approaches such as phylodynamics to study their evolution and spread.
